Welcome to JJ’s Firewood Perth. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our website (www.jjsfirewoodperth.com.au), our mobile application, and all related services (collectively, “Services”). By placing an order, accessing the website or app, or communicating with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

JJ’s Firewood Perth operates in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and applicable laws of Western Australia. These Terms set out your rights and obligations when using our Services or purchasing products from us.

Payment is not required before delivery. Customers may choose to pay on delivery. However, once an order is accepted and scheduled for delivery, it becomes subject to our cancellation and refund policy (see Section 8).

3. Delivery

We deliver firewood across Perth Metro and surrounding suburbs using our own delivery drivers.

  • Delivery timeframe: Deliveries are made on the next available delivery slot for your area. There are no set delivery days.
  • Delivery access: We will deliver the firewood as close as safely possible to the desired drop-off point, but our drivers will not enter homes, garages, or private property beyond accessible and safe points.
  • Liability: JJ’s Firewood Perth is not liable for any property damage that may occur during delivery, including damage to driveways, paths, gardens, or structures when the delivery location is chosen by the customer.

Once the firewood has been delivered and unloaded, ownership and responsibility for the wood transfers to the customer.

4. Product Information

We sell a variety of firewood types and grades, including Jarrah, mixed hardwoods, mill ends, and other varieties.

  • Firewood is a natural product, and variations in size, appearance, density, and moisture content are normal.
  • Such variations do not constitute defects and are not grounds for refunds or returns.
  • We ensure all wood sold meets reasonable quality and weight standards suitable for residential heating and burning.

5. Cancellations

Cancellations must be made as early as possible before delivery.

  • Orders cancelled after loading or dispatch may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total order value to cover time, labour, and fuel costs.
  • JJ’s Firewood Perth reserves the right to determine whether a cancellation fee applies, based on the circumstances of the order and the preparation work already completed.

6. Refunds and Returns

JJ’s Firewood Perth follows the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which provides that customers are entitled to a remedy for products that are faulty, damaged, or not as described. However, refunds are not automatically granted.

Refund Policy

  • Change of Mind: Refunds are not provided for change of mind, incorrect quantity ordered, or dissatisfaction with natural variations in wood. Store credit or exchange may be offered at our discretion.
  • Disputed Orders: Refunds for disputes or order concerns are reviewed manually and processed only if required by law or deemed reasonable by JJ’s Firewood Perth.
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds may take up to 30 days to be processed.
  • Cancellation After Dispatch: If a delivery is cancelled after the truck has been loaded or dispatched, a partial refund (minus overheads and labour costs) may apply.

All refunds are subject to fair assessment and proof of purchase.

7. Exchanges and Store Credits

In some cases, we may offer exchanges or store credits instead of refunds. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may apply where a customer is unsatisfied but the product meets all legal standards.

8. App and Website Use

By using our website or mobile app, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when placing an order.
  • Not misuse, hack, or interfere with the operation of our digital systems.
  • Use the Services lawfully and responsibly.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to any account or user who breaches these Terms or engages in misuse of the platform.

  • Track the status of their orders.
  • Leave reviews on completed orders.

All reviews must be honest, non-defamatory, and comply with Australian consumer and advertising standards.

9. Limitation of Liability

JJ’s Firewood Perth, including its staff and delivery drivers, is not liable for:

  • Any injury, loss, or damage caused by improper storage, misuse, or handling of firewood.
  • Any property damage occurring during delivery when the customer instructs where to place the firewood.
  • Any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profits or inconvenience.

Our liability under the ACL is limited to the replacement of the goods or a refund for the affected portion, as required by law.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to deliver due to events beyond our control, such as severe weather, road closures, accidents, or supply interruptions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes shall be handled in the courts of Western Australia.

12. Updates to Terms

JJ’s Firewood Perth reserves the right to update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon publication on our website and app. Continued use of our Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
